TEMPORARY VIDEO PREVIEW: https://streamable.com/92cxxy
This arena was created when I was trying to find a flexible and minimally glitchy strategy for using advanced 'new-gen' lighting techniques in potentially any stadium, modern or retro. Though I ultimately decided that the negatives outweighed the positives, I am sharing this demo stadium (created 6 months ago) just for anyone who is curious to mess around with it.
Huge shout-out to Myron, who helped me understand a lot of key points about lighting in 2K, while also giving me a sense of what was practical and what was not, based on his own lighting experiments.
Note that this has only been tried by me on 2K23 (I've never played 2K24), but I would bet it works on both. Also, please do not ask me to light up more of the crowd, fix any weird visual anomalies, make the net move during replays, etc. These are precisely the sorts of things that led me to abandon this sort of lighting approach.
